The Speakers

Mr Walid Elmahdy

Mr Walid Elmahdy, Consultant Cardiac and Aortic Surgeon (MB BCh MSc MRCS FRCS-CTh PHD). His main specialist interest is in Complex Aortic Surgery, working collaboratively with Aorto-vascular team to establish the service. Besides being a surgeon, he’s a semi-professional artist with national and international paintings exhibitions. He believes surgery and art are deeply interconnected in cause, philosophy, dynamics, and challenges.

Miss Francesca Leone

Dr Francesca Leone is an ST1 NTN in Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Yorkshire Humber Deanery, currently working in General Surgery in Sheffield Teaching Hospitals".

Mr Joshil Lodhia

Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a keen interest in innovation, pationate about advancements in 3D printing technology and advancement of the field. Experience with robotic surgery, minimally invasive surgery and much more!
